The 2018 International Conference on Economic Theory and Applications will be held in Chengdu, China, from Wednesday 18 July to Friday 20 July 2018. It will be organised by the School of Economics, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) in cooperation with the Society for the Promotion of Mechanism and Institution Design.

Call for Papers:

The conference invites paper submissions from all major subjects of economics with a focus on economic theory including micro, macro, econometrics, labour, mechanism/market design, game theory, growth, economic history, monetary economics, experiment, financial economics, trade, and political economics. Applied and empirical papers are also welcomed. Young economists including final year PhD students are encouraged to submit their papers. 请看会议中文稿。
All lectures of the conference will be open to the public free of charge but delegates have the priority to take seats.
Chengdu, known as the "Country of Heavens", is a major metropolis in China with a unique cultural heritage and a rich history and is famous for its spicy Sichuan cuisine. It is also the home of the giant panda. SWUFE is a leading economics school in China.

Conference Fees:

Except keynote speakers, each participant is charged a registration fee of Renminbi yuan 600 (preferred) or US dollar $100. Fees include two lunches, one dinner, and drinks.

Paper Submission:

We start to accept paper submissions from 20 Feb 2018 until 20 May 2018.
Paper submission must be done through the Conference Maker website.
Each individual is allowed for only one paper submission.
Papers should be submitted in PDF with a cover letter.
If the author is a final-year PhD student, it is advised to declare it.

Registration:

After you have paid the conference fees, this will be automatically regarded as your registration of attending the conference. Papers will appear in the programme only if the authors have paid the conference fees or if the authors have had difficulty in paying the fees online or through electronic transfer and have written to swufe.econ@gmail.com that they will pay the fees in cash while attending the conference.


Those who only want to attend the conference without giving any presentation are requested to pay the same registration fees of RMB 600 or USD 100 and to send a message to swufe.econ@gmail.com with your name and your affiliation and the amount of your payment after you have paid. No other requirement.


Ways to pay the conference fees:
1.You can pay RMB Yuan 600 online by Alipay (支付宝)or Wechat Pay (微信支付). How to Get to Chengdu (and SWUFE campus):

You may travel to Chengdu by airplane, by train, or by car. Most participants will come by airplane. Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport is the destination airport, the 4th largest aviation hub in mainland China, having many international and domestic flights.
You may take a taxi from the airport to the conference venue, Liulin Campus of SWUFE, Wenjiang District of Chengdu (西南财大温江柳林校区). The taxi fare is about 150 RMB Yuan. You may also ride the subway to the conference venue by taking Subway No 10 to Taiping Yuan Station (太平园站), and then changing to Subway No 7 to Culture Palace Station (文化宫站), and then changing to Subway No. 4 to Yangliuhe Station (杨柳河站). You can walk from the Station to SWUFE Campus in 5 minutes.Here are the subway and campus maps.
